We are dedicated to supporting green initiatives and strictly adhere to our own environmental and sustainability policies (copies available on request).
We actively seek to minimise the amount of electronic equipment being disposed of by recycling, in line with the European Union Waste Electric & Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive.
All reusable electrical equipment is stripped and stored for re-use at a later date. Remaining equipment is again sorted into inert material not covered under WEEE, which are then recycled by traditional means. Any unusable electrical equipment is disposed of via licensed operators that make only bulk collections rather than smaller regular collections to reduce road traffic. All incoming packaging is recycled and used for outgoing packaging as part of the ongoing business activities of the company.
And we strive to reduce our vehicle energy use and emissions by purchasing of the most efficient engine types to suit the needs of the business and carefully planning vehicle routes to reduce wasteful and unnecessary journeys.
We have increased the use of remote programming and diagnostics technologies to deliver solutions to customers without the need for vehicle journeys.
We also encourage remote and home working for staff to increase efficiency and reduce travel times. Use of video conferencing and the use of other collaboration tools further reduces the need to travel.
We have implemented energy switch off initiatives to reduce wasteful energy consumption when not needed. We also purchase of the most energy efficient ITC and air conditioning equipment to suit the needs of the business.
