Comms Business Awards
The Comms Business Awards are designed to genuinely recognise excellence in the industry, acknowledging the successes of the reseller community, the vendors, distributors and service providers as well as those successful individuals who truly set the standard. These awards are the industry’s most sought after accolade.
At a gala dinner presentation held at the Lancaster Hotel in London, South West Communications Group won the 2010 Reseller of the Year Large Award category for companies with a turnover of £5m or more for which it had to submit a company profile regarding our activities in the marketplace, a recent case study detailing for our ground-breaking work with North Bristol NHS Trust, the fifth largest healthcare trust in the UK, customer testimonials, staff development plans and letter of support from one of our principal suppliers.
The panel of judges then looked at the achievement of the 4 reseller category winners in respect of the impact they have made in the market within their resources and their plans for the future and announced us as winners of the 2010 Overall Reseller of the Year Award.
Federation of Communications Services Industry Awards
The 2010 FCS Industry Awards were announced in February and presented at an awards ceremony at the Institution of Engineering & Technology in London in June where South West Communications Group won the Communications Provider of the Year Award 2010 for its work with North Bristol NHS Trust
The purpose of the FCS Awards is to foster excellence and reward achievement which reflects the key principles of the awards: best practice, innovation and operational excellence. The FCS awards provide the opportunity for companies to demonstrate their quality and professionalism to their industry, their peers and to their customers.
Comms National Awards
The winners of the Comms National Awards 2010 were presented at London's Hilton on Park Lane. The event recognised reseller excellence in providing solutions to customers and the quality of service and support provided by suppliers to channel partners and is regarded as the Oscars of the industry.
South West Communications Group won the Enterprise Vertical Solution Award 2010 for solution providers who demonstrate expertise in understanding the needs of the client and of the industry segment they are addressing. This award was again won for its work with North Bristol NHS Trust. The judges were looking beyond the supply of ICT products and services and at how the reseller tailored the application to help their enterprise client be more effective in their specific segment.
Alactel-Lucent Awards
South West Communications Group won this international award in recognition of its work in supporting small and medium-sized businesses. One of the industry’s leading communications equipment manufacturers, Alcatel-Lucent, announced South West Communications Group had won its 2010 EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Asia) Partner of the Year Outstanding Achievement Award in Barcelona during the first leg of the Alcatel-Lucent Dynamic Enterprise Tour 2011.
The award was in recognition of South West Communications Group’s use of growth initiatives, innovation and collaboration opportunities with particular attention placed on the converged, turn-key telephony solution it has implemented for Dorothy House Hospice Care
