There are two main causes of a slow broadband connection; distance and contention. The closer a user is to their local telephone exchange, the better the service. The number of people simultaneously using the Internet Service Providers (ISP) connection to the Internet at exchange level will also have an effect. Whilst we can do nothing about distance a customer may be from the exchange we are able to eliminate contention by offering 1:1 services which means that you will not share your bandwidth with any other customers at exchange level.

South West Communications Group also offers direct access to the Internet via its industry leading Data Centre which can guarantee resilient connections directly to the Internet backbone at the UK’s three main points of presence. Many businesses have already taken advantage of the facilities provided by the Data Centre which offers high quality, accessible server hosting, disaster recovery and Internet hosting solutions.

Each of our premium broadband solutions can be delivered and installed at the same time as a new analogue (PSTN) line meaning that traditional ADSL installation lead times are halved. Historically, many data critical companies have had to install ISDN2 lines at new premises to cover the delay until their broadband is installed.

Our broadband services can go live within 15 minutes of the analogue line being installed, thus negating any such delay.

South West Communications Group can seamlessly migrate businesses from any other Internet Service Provider with its lead time for provision being just six working days.

Our premium ADSL packages give a 1:1, business to business broadband service uncontended at exchange level with up to 20mb download speed as standard and up to 832kbps upload speeds. A professional, high quality wireless router is also included along with up to 20mb of shared web space and 10 email addresses, each with 50mb capacity. Up to 13 usable Static IP addresses are also available.
