Mobiles are increasingly becoming relied upon not only as a means of voice contact but also for data communication. Voice – mobile handsets can be provided at competitive cost (either rental or capital charge) with call tariff packages being tailored to meet the individual customer needs.
Data – can be received through devices such as the BlackBerry or the leading equivalent with either ‘pull’ or ‘push’ capabilities. Pull devices require the users to dial up to receive their data, whereas push handsets receive emails, texts, Internet faxes automatically and are the mobile equivalent to an “always on” connection such as broadband.
Internet access - can also be provided with 3G devices to provide users with broadband speed access to the Internet whilst on the move for laptops and palm held devices ensuring they need never be out of touch.
