South West Communications Group has achieved best practice certification in video conferencing from one of the major players in the industry.

The Exeter-based communications company has become a LifeSize Professional Partner in recognition of its video conferencing sales and engineering expertise.

As providers of a whole range of business communications solutions, South West Communications Group has embraced the trend towards using video conferencing as a means of accelerating decision-making and reducing the costs associated with geographically-dispersed businesses and organisations while also meeting their green agendas.

Harry Langley, managing director of South West Communications Group, said: “We are delighted to have achieved LifeSize Professional Partner status and feel it is recognition for the work we have put in to develop our influence in the video conferencing field. We have already deployed a number of video conferencing solutions for both new and existing customers to enable them to take full advantage of the financial and environmental benefits this easy-to-use technology can offer.”

South West Communications Group delivers business telephone systems, wired and wireless networking connectivity and data centre solutions to businesses in Exeter, Devon and the south of England and Wales.

Former newspaper journalist, Caroline joined the company in 2008 with no previous knowledge of the industry.

She set about stripping back all the jargon to produce plain English marketing collateral to support the sales teams. Now slightly more well-versed in the dark arts of voice, connectivity and data services, Caroline writes blogs, case studies, data sheets and social media updates to engage with potential and existing customers.

This industry is far cry from her previous working life when she worked as communications manager for Exeter Chiefs and Northampton Saints.
