Local area networks or LANs are often the forgotten workhorses of the IT environment. The truth is though is that they often support anything with plug in schools.

Our infographic is designed to highlight the importance of a school LAN and why it should not be neglected as more schools adopt 1:1 digital learning strategies to provide one device per student or allow the use of BYODs.

With so much being supported by a LAN, it is unsurprising that they can often seem slow. There are ways of ensuring it does not grind to a halt, including the creation of virtual LANs and easy monitoring and management.
