The threats to business data – people you employ and people you don’t!

Businesses need to take care of their data which means they need to fight off threats on both sides of the traditional firewall.

Firstly, the threats from the people you employ. Most will not want to harm your business intentionally, but we are all susceptible to human error; in other words, pressing ‘delete’ when we did not mean to! Or less tech-savvy employees may be persuaded to impart data following a phishing, ransomware or malware attack. In both scenarios, there was no malice intended.

Secondly, you need to protect your business from outside influences attacking your network or accessing your data…the hacker or the virus.

Today’s business cyber security needs to be outward and inward facing.

In my short video, I go over some of the threats to your business data. If you would like to know more about the security available to you, please contact me directly on 0800 054 6789 or email cloud@swcomms.co.uk.
