The summer holidays are popular with schools for obvious reasons, but they are also popular in terms of using the lengthy absence of pupils to get on-site jobs and infrastructure work completed.

In line with this trend, the summer break is the most popular time for schools and colleges to take delivery of replacement telephone systems as they want to avoid any potential disruption caused by the installation process and the longest holiday period is the ideal time to accommodate such a change.

With this in mind and with just one half-term left before the end of the 2012/13 school year, South West Communications Group would like to remind the education sector that time is running out to meet the summer holiday installation deadline.

A modern telephone system will assist with the heavy demands placed on busy reception staff while also reducing the frustration often felt by parents that are trying to get through at busy times of the day.

Schools and colleges are expected to be at the forefront of technological change and innovation but budgetary constraints often mean that this can be far from the truth as many educational establishments continue to struggle with out-of-date telephony equipment, unaware of the benefits that a simple upgrade could provide.

We have worked with the education sector for 30 years and we have ensured a high proportion of our engineering staff have been CRB checked to accommodate any on-site work that may be required during term time.
