David J Powell is a firm of land surveyors based in Ringwood, Hampshire.

The challenge
The firm was frustrated by the amount of spam they were receiving on their incumbent email accounts. Already a customer for other services, they turned to us when they heard how significantly  the amount of spam would drop if they invested in Microsoft Office 365 Business Essentials plan, which includes the Exchange Online email service.

The solution
As a Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider, swcomms had the skills to migrate David J Powell to Office 365’s Exchange Online, which includes:

We migrated their email data overnight to ensure they did not suffer a loss of service during business hours.

The result
The result was an immediate drop in spam. The firm had averaged 400 spam emails a day. This dropped to zero overnight. Exchange Online contains multiple spam filters which can be fine-tuned to suit each business. These filters check the reputation of the sender before allowing a message to get through. They also check for message characteristics consistent with spam. 

The firm also took the option to invest in a full Office 365 suite of products to benefit from a raft of additional business tools, such as Word, Excel, etc, as well as access to 1TB of cloud data storage, Skype for Business, instant messaging and much more, all of which can be used on multiple devices per user.
