Any businesses requiring up to 100% uptime should consider leased lines as their preferred internet connectivity option to protect them from the often catastrophic consequences of extended downtime.
Dedicated internet leased lines offer secure, uncapped and uncontended connectivity that delivers between 10Mbps to 10Gbps bandwidths that can be flexed up as required.
As businesses’ reliance on data grows and they begin to utilise more cloud services, the need for a reliable connection to the internet becomes a vital resource. Internet leased lines can also be segregated for dedicated voice and data use to guarantee quality of service.
Our internet leased lines come with a range of service level agreements with guaranteed response times and pass-through carrier fix times, plus qualified engineering resources.
Ethernet in the First Mile (EFM)
EFM is a lower cost option, with shorter lead times, and can deliver speeds of up to 35Mbps using copper wiring. Thanks to having identical upload and download speeds, EFM can support VoIP and hosted solutions. The service is delivered using multiple standard copper telephone lines either in a bundle of two or four lines to build a single service.
Ethernet over Fibre To The Cabinet (EoFTTC)
EoFTTC is a hybrid technology which is provided by copper from your business premises over the short distance to the green cabinets in the street. Unlike standard broadband where the copper then continues all the way to the exchange, EoFTTC traffic travels across a shared fibre optic circuit to the exchange. The extra distance does not lead to ongoing degradation of performance but rather delivers ethernet services with speeds of up to 20Mbps, with the ability to burst to 80Mbps download. EoFFTC provides an ethernet service without the cost and is often chosen for its speedy transfers of large data files as well as running simultaneous applications like SIP, video conferencing and real-time business applications.
All of these ethernet services offer uncontended, guaranteed bandwidth, multiple static IP addresses and benefit from synchronous speeds, allowing full bandwidth for both upload and download. They also come with a service level agreement to maintain your business’s uptime.
These connectivity options enable your business to make use of cloud-based and real-time applications, such as VoIP and Office 365, to increase productivity and to support business growth.
